Johnny Weir is the new face of MAC Cosmetics. The Olympic figure skater will star in the ad campaign for the 2011 holiday collection, Glitter and Ice. Weir was in Miami earlier this month shooting promotional materials for the cosmetic line, which he uses during competi tion. MAC has previously signed Elton John and the drag queen RuPaul as ambas sadors. Weir is sitting out the 2011-2012 ice-skating season to oversee his nonskating ven tures, including the MAC deal, his dress line and a reality show, "Be Good Johnny Weir," on Sundance Channel. - NY Post

Miss California Wins Miss USA

Alyssa Campanella, the 21-year-old Miss California, won the Miss USA pageant Sunday night after fielding a question about medical marijuana. "I'm not sure if it should be legalized, if it would really affect, with the drug war," she said in her winning answer. "I mean, it's abused today, unfortunately, so that's the only reason why I would kind of be a little bit against it, but medically it's OK." Campanella is a self-described “history geek” and fan of Star Wars. She will represent the United States at Miss Universe in September. - DB via AP
