Helen Gurley Brown
Helen Back NY Post Page Six -- HEARST execs went ballistic when they read our story this week about the new Helen Gurley Brown bio from Oxford relating how they wanted to ax the famed Cosmopolitan editor for years before they finally did. And the Hearst suits are getting revenge. "They have withdrawn their previous offer to help promote 'Bad Girls Go Everywhere,' either in their magazines or with a book-release party," an industry source told us. "The strong interest from Harper's Bazaar and O Magazine is fizzling." A Hearst rep denied any promotional plans for the tome by Jennifer Scanlon, out in April, but insisted it had "many inaccuracies," although she declined to elaborate.
