Everybody knows you don't mess with preppy fashion designers-but some have to learn their lesson the hard way. In May 2006, Tommy Hilfiger went after Guns N' Roses front man Axl Rose in the middle of Rosario Dawson's 27th birthday party at Manhattan club The Plumm, for reasons that still remain unclear. Some say Hilfiger was peeved that Rose moved his girlfriend's drink, others say he was annoyed that he'd been asked to make room for the rocker and his entourage. And still others paint a more thuggish image of the fashion mogul, suggesting the attack was premeditated. Whatever the reason, Hilfiger went "nuclear" on Rose, socking him in the eye, before being escorted out. After the fight, Rose brushed himself off and played an acoustic set with the rest of GNR.
