Mario Testino "turned his back" on Isabella Blow

Mario Testino "turned his back" on Isabella Blow by refusing to donate one of his photos of the tragic style icon to an exhibition, a source claimed. Testino supposedly agreed to give a print of Blow, who committed suicide in 2007, to the show at Anthropologie at Rockefeller Plaza to celebrate the book "Blow by Blow," by her widower, Detmar Blow, and Tom Sykes. A source said: "So many photographers gladly supplied their work. But just a few weeks before, they got a message saying, 'Mario's season is fully booked, making it impossible for him to allocate any extra time.' He was always complaining how the fashion world turned its back on Issie, but he's just like everyone else." A rep for Testino said he had a "working relationship with Detmar" and donated an image used on the "Blow by Blow" sleeve in the UK. "When Mario's studio was approached to donate a print for the exhibition, we were not able to produce one" of exhibition quality "at such short notice," the rep said. - NY Post
