Fashion designer John Galliano has been arrested in Paris after allegedly making antisemitic remarks. French police officials told AFP that the British designer was taken into custody for “minor violence”. Mr Galliano, the chief designer for fashion house Dior, was said to have accosted a couple while they were eating at a café in Paris’ Marais district. police spokesman said witnesses reported that Mr Galliano had “sworn heavily” and used “anti-Jewish insults” before he attacked the couple.
